Hello and welcome to my BLOG! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to have a look. I think you will enjoy the pictures, stories (and sometimes video) to see the type of celebration that can be brought to life on YOUR day! To read about some recent weddings I have done, just click on the dated links to the right under ARCHIVES —>

NOTE: If you are not seeing the beautiful picture at the top of this page (and only seeing a blue box) please click out of Internet Explorer, and open up Firefox Mozilla if you have that installed on your computer!

I am a full time Wedding Entertainer/Master of Ceremonies/DJ from the Dayton, OH area. I have been in business since 1997, am married to my wife Lori, and we have 2 children. I’m located in the Huber Heights / Dayton area and service the Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and even Indiana, and surrounding areas.

Why do I consider myself more than just a “DJ”?
Easy. A “DJ” just shows up and plays music. Maybe he’ll be dressed up in a suit or tux for your “formal event”, but maybe he won’t. Maybe he’ll make a few announcements and introduce your first dance and a few other formal dances. Or maybe he won’t. If he does introduce moments throughout the night, quite possibly it will be a generic “cookie-cutter” announcement that he does at every wedding, with no care, or personalization.

Do you want “Starbucks”, where you can have many options to make your day exactly how you want? Or do you want “McWedding” where you only have a few options, and it will be just like everyone else’s?

I will offer a number of neat and fun ideas to make your day memorable. My eloquent approach on the microphone speaking on your behalf as the Master of Ceremonies will be smooth. I will not turn your wedding into a circus. I will not act like a clown or a comedian. I will treat your day with care, as if it were my own. I promise not to be a “cheesy” DJ! I promise there will be no embarrassing moments. I also promise not to be the stereotypical drunk DJ either, simply because I won’t drink alcohol at your wedding.

Want to learn more? Read this blog! You’ll soon find out that “music” is just one of the many “tools” I use to get the results - a fun, memorable celebration!

It’s all the little things: the details, the pre-planning, the care and dedication I put into each wedding, that creates a smooth flowing evening from start to finish.

How many weddings have you attended as a guest that didn’t feel like they had a game plan and were just doing things on the fly, causing the evening to drag on, and/or have too many “hiccups” in the flow? That’s why I make sure I am fully prepared, so that things like that don’t happen at your wedding!

Hiring your MC/DJ entertainment on low price only
could result in major problems and embarrassment at your wedding. As the old saying goes: “You get what you pay for”, and it’s the one element of your reception that is important to creating the ambiance that is conducive to engaging your guests, and producing fun and excitement! To quote my good friend Jim Cerone (DJ from Indianapolis): “If your guests leave after dinner, that is not a wedding celebration. You have just thrown a very expensive dinner party”.

Make sure you hire an entertainer that you know has the experience and charisma that will not take away the spotlight from you two, but rather, enhance your celebration. Meet with them before you make any kind of decision!

Below is me with my family at the Rock and Roll Hall (Cleveland, OH) of Fame December 2010.
It’s these 3 people in the picture with me that drive me to do my very best at each wedding I have the honor of working at. I make a living doing what I love – weddings – and I am able to provide for these 3 amazing people because I treat each wedding as if it were my own, with respect, dignity, and fun! I hope to be a part of your day. Thank you for reading.

    Hey Brian!

Nice work, as always. So many cool ideas and experiences – you’re certainly involved with some of the greatest weddings around. Whatever you do, DO NOT move your DJ business to Auckland, New Zealand. :-D

  5. Nick Says:

Yo! Brain, Love the blog, great to see you at Ashley and Josh’s wedding! We need to get together sometime and talk about my wedding and using wordpress!

  8. Jan Aller Says:

My husband and I have known Brian Harris since he was 11 years old, a truely wonderful young man and very gifted.

  9. Jason Spencer Says:

Thanks for the refresher, Brian. It’s always in my head, but each day I struggle with keeping my title as a wedding “entertainer”. People have been taught to look for a DJ, which is why, like you, my business card uses not just Disc Jockey, but Master of Ceremonies and Entertainment as well.

Keep doing the little things, and you’ll keep your clients, your family, and you happy in all your endeavors. :-)

  10. Brian Harris Says:

Thank you Jan! It’s so great to be reconnected with you all after all these years. I sure hope you get to se me “in action” one of these days at a wedding. I just might surprise you with my demeanor! ;o)

  11. Brian Harris Says:

Thank you Larry! Glad you liked the blog. Now, if I could just keep it up to date! That’s the hard part!

  12. Brian Harris Says:

Thanks Jason! Yes, we are certainly more than just “DJs”. If playing music was all I had to do, that would be a pretty boring job. I enjoy getting to know my couples, their likes, their dislikes, and their wedding vision. I also love the planning part of the process. Of course the day of – the performance – it just the best!

  13. Brian Harris Says:

Thank you Mark for the kind words. Hope you are doing well! See you in Vegas?
